Three Bean Turkey ChiliA great classic, redone healthier. Very popular with my family and some clients.Ingredients:1 1/2 lbs lean ground all natural turkey1 large yellow onion, chopped1 red bell pepper, chopped2 28 oz cans fire roasted crushed tomatoes1 8 oz can tomato paste1 (15 oz) can black beans1 (15 oz) can pinto beans1 (15 oz) can red kidney beans2 Tbsp Chili seasoning1 1/2 tsp ground cuminSalt to taste
Directions:Brown ground turkey, drain, set aside.In large pot sauté onion, and pepper until soft. Add crushed tomatoes, turkey, chili seasoning, cumin. Simmer 5 minutes.Drain and rinse beans, mash 1/2 cup of beans, and add the tomato paste to thicken. Simmer 5 minutes.Add remaining beans to pot. Simmer 45 minutes covered and serve.Optional: add 1 chipotle pepper minced*For a vegan meal, leave out the ground turkey ![]() Design by Hofmeister Design
